Beautiful Boracay

White fine sand. Clear blue sea. White fluffy clouds. Deep blue sky.
It seems like this is paradise on earth. I believe that the new world would be even more glorious than this. Beautiful Boracay! Our God is a wonderful painter and a romantic at heart. He is a musician that orchestrated every note that comes with the crashing waves. I am in deeply, madly, insanely in love.

Good times that flies at bullet train speed

I was rather determined (after Gee's rather determined) to travel nearby to eat and play and relax. The opportunity came at the Vesak day break. Determined am I, despite Maoster's HFMD breakout, the doctor certified him clean on thursday morning. Despite my hubby's reservist, the army decided to let him out at 6pm (yes the latest we could imagined it to be) and despite the fact that we only managed to find rooms for 1 night as Vesak day holidays proved to be booming the Malaysia's tourist economy.

And Aung's happiness was when he found rootbeer float with frozen mugs. He ordered a coney dog meal with it. Seldom will Aung eat when he already had lunch. Aung seldom snack. So good for me cos I am now NOT THE ONLY ONE who snack. Maoster refused the drink and asked me if its medicine.

Then Maoster happiness came when this really ridiculously looking kiddy joy ride came. Of cos they have to choose a rabbit carriage to sit on - I am tickled by this rabbit. Aung only comments were after looking at this pic is that he has always insist on riding on rabbits only. Hmmmmmm. Next.
Then Godma brought Maoster to the fishing shop and he got this fishing net at RM3. Not bad, we managed to catch 6 fishes with it on Sunday when I went "fishing" with Maoster at Lower Pierce Reservoir. Don't worry, we let the fishes go before we left - Maoster was cool with it. He says the fishes, see you next week.

And of cos by God's abundence grace- we managed to find a family suite at this 5 month old boutique hotel ( someone cancelled last min) and we got this room with a master bedroom, 2 singles and a jacuzzi in it. Maoster must be praying very hard because as we are searching for hotels, driving around, he will ask- have room? have swimming pool?

We did some shopping and some eating and we had a blasting good time. We will be back Malacca!

Sala Resort, Phuket

My smart husband brought me to this boutique hotel for our 5th wedding anniversary.
A private garden pool.
Daily massages.
Doing nothing
Wasting the hours away.
The best part. They serve the best breakfast I've tasted.
They serve steak for breakfast.
That's rabbit food he says. I agree.

Best Bud Trip 2009

The last time we were on a trip together was to HONG KONG in 2005. Honestly, I think our Aussie trip in 2003 was more fun but hopefully the Canada/USA trip that is going to burn a BIG HOLE in our pockets would beat the previous trips we did hands down cos it really cost us an arm and an leg!

We have only got the hotels and some ideas of stuff we gotta do... but I guess on the way, we will play by ear what we wanna do. But here is a peek of what I call the crazy schedule:

- 15th April to 17th April Evening

Solo trip around Vancouver becos Gee is still having meetings with God. Exams ends on 17th for her. Evening we will fly to Toronto.

18th April

Arrived in Toronto at 6am. Chiong the market as its is the saturday heard its quite fun, CN tower and shopping... and stay one night at Hotel Victoria

19th April

We leave Toronto City for Niagara Falls. Staying one night at Embassay Suites Hilton. We are going for the niagara view room with 2 swirlpool attached to our room. Sounds madness, I know but you know, whenever Gee meets Bunster, its always SHOWHAND TIME.... then we will both sit down somewhere and regret!

20th April we head for NEW YORK

Still don't really know what we wanna do yet, just that we would try to catch braodway and my warehouse shopping and this place will be home 4 nights at Fifth Avenue 373 Hotel

25th April

The wee morning we will be flying back to Vancouver Islands where we will stay 2 nights at Bed and breakfast to wind down and cry about our lost pennies and cents (sense!) at Cable Cove Inn

27th April

at 4am I need to be at the Vancouver airport and bidding my best bud farewell and fly crazy hours back to SG

28th April

I will be back 5 mins before the clock strikes 12 midnight.

I am getting excited and panicky ( AUNG AND MAO WITHDRAWAL SYNDROME) and I do hope that all turns out well and fun for the trip! In the meantime, watch out for my boys and hey BE GOOD.

I would be having a great time if you are as well!

Compact Review - Vietnam ( HCM City)

Aung, Bunster and Maoster is back!
Review of Vietnam:
Food: Fantastic
Cleanliness : Overall okay. The streets are not filled with rubbish but the air quality is not too good due to the millions of motorcycles.
Traffic : It's a mess! Beware of the motorcycles!
Shopping: We're in district 1 - apparantly the Orchard Road so things are really not quite cheap. It's equivalent to SG pricing in terms of shopping centres stuffs as they are all imported brands anyway, the Ben thanh market ( i hope i didnt spell it wrong) wasn't cheap at all. Plus, they are all stick insect sizes so no rabbit can fit in anything, although i did not attempt ( but no lor one look see cannot liao lor)
Places of interest : We didn't visit any :P Reason being, there is this tunnel place that my neice and nephew said that the tunnel opening was tight and small and they are afraid that I will get stuck there and not return becos Yee Yee is so fat. Oh well, I believed them.

Highlight of the vietnam trip:

Boat Trip that celebrated my beloved David's 9 year old birthday. The reason of all of our flying there. We loved that kiddo.

It was a 2 hr boat ride with international buffet ( not bad at all), live band and singers from Philippines, and magician that goes round the table showing their things. Of cos, there is this 10 mins head and shoulder massage that you can do if you want to. I did it of cos.

We danced, ate up a storm and kissed the birthday boy!

Where we ate a storm

Danced till our feet hurt

Joined the band

Maoster had to perform with the hot babes

And we kissed the Birthday Boy!

Random Thoughts

Well, the past few days passed by in a flash. The top thoughts I have with the past few days "events" to give some pictorial state of mind. All the thoughts are random.

1. Who on earth leave their kid at home while mom+daddy goes on a holiday? Darn, eyes keep sweeping at family travelling with young kids.... whistling... what baby? Repeat process say 10 times a day.
2. Gosh. Next time I'll book the air tickets to avoid waking up at 4:30am
3. Aung needs ginko. He forgot where he kept the keys to the luggage only that he kept it well. That I also know lah.
4. My mense better not come now. I have no idea how to wear a tampon and a bikini at the same time. A recurring daily thought I have while I am in Cha-am.
5. Food during holiday should always taste festive. And Fattening is Festive.
6. Yes! That's someone fatter than me in a bikini! See, people like me EXIST.
7. OooooO Sun. I like.
8. Apple TV. I like. HBO. I like. Travel and Living. I like.
9. Darn. That boy is 22 months! That girl is 16 months! Where is mine?
10. Sun burned is not a CI. Please carry on with your life positively. Men!
11. Good Friday? How can i not be in church on Good Friday? Oops.
12. We are better parents if we can take care of ourselves first and be happy with each other.
13. If you want something, you need to whine about it for days and it will happen. Only condition to this rule is that your friends must really dote on you like mine. Nice.
14. Birthdays are meant to be spent with a cake and close friends/family and have a classic I love you photo!
15. What happened to all the "normal" songs in church during Easter?
16. Jesus and Bunster didn't meet this Easter although Bunster and Jesus were both in Church. Things need to be improved.
20. What a bliss that Maoster is in bed tonight with us.
21. Darn! Tomorrow is Monday. And. I am working.
22. Who invented Shower?
23. Where is the self bathing machine? Why don't someone invent it. I can pretend I am a pc of dirty laundry in the washing machine.
24. Should I sleep now?

This picture is related to thoughts No 13, 14 and 20.

Alilia - Cha-am

Bunster & Aung is going for a HOLIDAY!!! We will be off to Cha-am in Thailand that's rather near Hua Hin to this fantastic to die for Alilia resort that just opened in Feb 08! The review of it seems to be rather good and we are both just wishing that we would be given the royal treatment! We have hecked the prices and decided to pamper ourselves yet again!

We haven't been to a holiday by ourselves since Maoster arrived and I thought as hard it is to leave our dearest Maoster back in SG with my mom - it may be new found "USness" experience for this full 3 days 2 nights! I know my mom will enjoy her one to one time with Maoster, heard she had the activities planned out!

On the other hand - it's going to be GOOD FRIDAY when we are away. I haven't been thinking alot about good friday this year and honestly, this only reflects my sprituality appetite of late. Hopefully this trip will give me some time to think about what I want to do, to find back the "Usness" that I have with God too.

Sigh, Not fair! I get left behind. I have passport too u know?

Gosh, I am getting the mao-withdrawal syndrome!!!
